im trying to run rc5 but i dont know wat to do!!

Ive followed the instructions on the andatech pages but to no avail!! The farthest ove gone is put in my email address and thats it. if i run the ms-dos client or the other app i get nothing!! i rally want to help out anandtech could someone walk me through this plz. thanks

imhotepmp which version of the client do you have (waht is the name of tha file that you have downloaded)? What opperating system do you use? The other app?

dude, relax, getting assimilated is easy, you just let them stick stuff in you, put attachments on your face, replace your arm with a more "efficient" one, etc.... but when its time for you to go on and assimilate others, then things get interesting....

imhotepmp, it may be running but you can't see it. There are very few outward signs of client operation. The best one is to check your Win9X System Monitor to see if CPU usage is at 100%. If so, you've been successfully asslaminated.

If you are the hands-on, "if I can't see it, I don't believe it" type, then you need to start the client in the "noquiet" mode. Then you'll see it in the System Tray and can be sure it is running.

First question - Did you install it as a service? If that question means nothing to you, then you didn't install it as a service.

Second question - How are you starting the client? Did you put a shortcut into your Startup folder? Do you manually start it when you want it to run?
