I'm trying to determine if my IC7-G is defective or not

I recently purchased some Mushkin Redline XP4000 memory modules (2X1GB) and I'm having issues with them. They won't run at their rated speed and only DDR400, so I RMA'ed the modules got a new set and while they do clock significantly higher than before (the other ones would go up to 267mhz but failed memtest while RMA modules went up to 282 but failed memtest anyways past 400).

So I sent the modules back and they're going to send me another set again, before I sent the second set of modules back I tested them in an ECS Nforce3-a motherboard at 250mhz but they failed as well. So I'm wondering now, is it possible I had two dud memory modules? I've tested them at the most lax settings with sufficient voltage, adjusted chipset timings etc. According to the mushkin testers, the ones I set back tested at 270 stable for 18hours but they're using them on socket 939 systems...

Does anyone have experience with these modules or other 1GB memory modules on 754 and 875/865 based systems? TweakPower up who did a review on the modules were reviewing them on a 865PE based system so I'm

Any help?

What CPU are you using with the IC7? Latest bios?
The IC7 bios has a 5:4 - CPU:Memory ratio option.
My specs:
Abit IC7; P4 2.4C @3193 MHz., 1.6 volts; 5:4, 266 MHz. FSB; with memory at 213 MHz.
(2x 512 MB) PC3700 Twinmos; 2.5-3-3-7
Bios setup:
Game Accel = Auto
Refresh cycle time = enhanced
Read delay adjust = disabled
Command per clock = disabled
Read delay = Auto
PCI Latency = 64 CLKS

2.8C, with my Corsair TwinX1024 PC4000 memory modules (2X512MB) which are CIRCA '03, they run 250mhz FSB EASY, but these modules won't work unless I have a divider running them at 200mhz.

What does CPU-Z say your memory is running at? When you say "I have a divider running them at 400mhz", do you really mean 200 MHz, as reported by CPU-Z?
Also, is the ratio 1:1, or something different?
