Climatotoxin - A substance, which when released into the atmosphere, causes undesirable changes to the climate of a planet.

Edit: If any ya'll in grad school, please work climatotoxin into your next abstract. Nothing could please me more than to find climatotoxin come up in a jstor hit.

I always wondered how memes actually start. Some of them seem just so.. random. Like the whole lolcat thing. So one guy decided to put a funny caption on his cat picture and somehow it just took off like crazy.

My guess is most start by accident though. There's probably usually some kind of inside joke that pops up and it takes off.
