Woke up and saw light coming though the window so I got up, showered, dressed, made coffee, packed the cooler and went down to the lobby to find it is still NIGHT TIME.

I hate it when hotel windows dont block off the light.
Sometimes I think they use fishnets for curtains.

I had a co-worker do this once. Mind you, he was far from the sharpest tool in the shed.

It's winter. Our workday started at 5:45AM. It's far from being light out at that time in the morning.

At the end of the workday, he goes home and lays down to take a nap. He wakes up at about 6:00PM and it's dark outside. He thinks he's late for work. Rushes around and gets to work about 6:30, walks in, looks around and realizes it's the afternoon shift.

Yeah no kidding. It really bugs me when I'm watching amateur porn and see a hotel room with curtains like that. :p

How do you not bother to look at a clock of some sort before getting to the lobby?

asking for vacation with the nest quote?

Are you?

What an idiot. Keeping a watch/clock set to 24 hour time stops such lunacy...:p

I've woken up from a nap in a panic thinking I was late for work when it's light out, but really 7pm. One time I got as far as sitting in the car with the engine running before I realized I didn't have to work that day :^D

In years gone by, when I normally worked 6 and 7 days per week, Occassionally, we'd actually get a weekend off. More than once, I woke up on Saturday morning thinking, "OH SHIT! I overslept!", jumped out of bed, made a pot of coffee and got dressed...then realized, "Fuck...I have the day off."
Not a chance of going back to sleep after that, so I just start my day a bit earlier than I had planned. (now if the stores/barbershops/ etc. were only open at 6 a.m., I'd have been set to go!)

Back in my meth using and abusing days I had been up for about 9 days straight. Passed out on a Sunday afternoon, remember waking up and it was dark outside, thought it was still Sunday night, so I went back to sleep. Woke up again, it was 4pm, thought I was a couple hrs late for work (2pm to 10:30pm shift). Yeah, I was late, by 26hrs, it was actually Tuesday at 4pm.
