I'm torn about whether to buy a 19"

my sister needs a new 17". I have a samsung 700IFT and I've been wanting to replace it with a 19 for a while. so, I could buy my sister a new 17" and then have the burden of finding a way to get rid of my monitor in a few years when I'll switch to LCD, or I could buy myself a 19" CRT now and give my sister the 17". I figure it will cost me about $90 to upgrade to a Samsung 957MB from my current one....$90 doesn't come easily to me so I'm kinda torn on whether to do it or not. I wonder if I'll really appreciate the extra inches at all, and of course if I don't get rid of my monitor now, I'll have to deal with it in a few years when nobody will want a 17" CRT anymore.

why does he need a big one? I figured the sister would prefer a big one over a small one anyday.
