I've had that happen, but you're the only one I've heard say has it too. LOL I'm curious too, what it is. It's not all the time, just once in a blue moon.

oh, but it can flow out your ear if you have a perforated tympanic membrane (not really something you want to do)

membrane in the ear, if you push a Q tip too hard you might be able to get milk comin out :D

i get a similar thing......when i swallow it makes a tingly feeling in the ear canal and i have to keep swallowing....it's like the swalling is scratching the itch.

my house is seriously screwed, if i fall asleep on the floor, i WILL wake up ill, not just maybe but a definite yes.

if you plug your nose and mouth and blow, it will come out of your ears. trust me.

btw, if you plug your ears as well, it comes out of your eyes or something. or at least your eyes feel weird. it's been a while since i did that.

it probably can, u just gotta learn how to route it. I used to be able to blow out my ears effortlessly, that was like 5 years ago tho, ive since lost "the force" :(

Anyways, you can really really hurt urself if u just hold ur nose and blow like a b|tch! Dude just let it be, it will dry up soon from ur own body heat. Give it a few hours...

the inner ear is directly connected to the inner male dong (as opposed to the female one). This causes the inner ear to swell, causing pain. Just a theory.

<< wow... so i really could blow the wax outta my ears? good-bye q-tips!!! >>

Actually, your ears are self-cleaning. Unless you've got a HUGE build-up of wax that affects your hearing, cleaning your ear with Q-tips, TP, etc. just leaves your ears more susceptible to infection as the wax, which acts like the mucus in your nose, has been removed.

That being said, I can't stand wax in my ears and so use Q-tips even though I shouldn't. :D

2 possibilities:

1. Swelling of eustation tubes with fluid due to the local response to your (probably) viral throat infection

2. So-called "referred" pain where the nerves in that part of your throat are continuous with nerves that innervate your inner ear, thus you feel pain in your ear that originates in your throat. It is very common when your tonsils become inflamed.....if the pain is one-sided it is probably referred.

If your throat becomes very red and/or extremely painful and you develop a fever you better go get a throat culture done for strep...without delay.

feel better,

fraz

When you swallow you change the pressure in the inner ear, which is causing your pain (probably) because they are infected or inflamed (the eustation tubes).
