I would at least consult with your optometrist about this, there could potentially be dangers with having a cold/flu or other illness so soon after eye surgery. It might put strain on the recovery. At least worth checking...

At the moment, the doctor's surgery (or the hospital) may be the last place you want to go. Of course, it might turn out to be the last place you go. It seems a tricky call.

Odd numbered releases are preferable - they have the bugs fixed. You don't want the new features.
