I don't typically engage in it because (A) I see no value in it and more to the point (B) I'm not clever enough to keep up with most people here in a flamewar, but I do see it all the time (esp. in P&N) where a thread quickly deteriorates into all out mud slinging over personal opinions. And then Mods have to step in, or if it goes too far threads get locked... Happens sometimes here in ATOT too.

That's fine, I propose a place for it. A place where all trolling, flamewars, namecalling and personal attacks and call outs are not only permitted... it's the entire purpose for its existance...

We could call it something like "The Gauntlet" or "The Ring of Fire"

Yeah, this is actually why I don't use ATOT aside from the occasional rant anymore. It makes for a great read but honestly some of the members here amaze me with how much blatant trolling they get away with.

Even in a semi-decent thread, the rants get derailed by 60 year old men who have skewed perceptions of how the world works, or you have people like ThinClient with his terrible posts.
