I'm thinking of doing a POTD website (photo of the day). . .

What would be some thoughts from this group about it?

I think you'd get more responses if you mentioned what this site really does. Is it meant just to show one photo a day? Is it a site where users can post their own pictures? Is there a voting mechanism? What's the benefit over other sites, like Flickr?

I think it's a good idea. Unless you're good at web design and you can code a site yourself, you'll want to set up a blog. This will allow users to sign up and post their own pictures, while still allowing the admin (you and whoever else) to moderate the pictures and do quality control. You also might want to add a little something extra to keep it from being another average POTD site. Maybe have a section of tutorials or guides that people can write in and contribute to?
