Adelphia just plain out sucks, it took me 10 seconds to load google and 12 seconds to open up this page. fvck this, i'm sick of their lies about improving internet service. i can't wait til tomorrow so i can call them and b*tch them out. i'm getting same speeds as dial up anyway, so why pay $45/mo when i can pay $10. fvck you adelphia.

Adelphia isn't that bad in my neighborhood. It use to be pretty bad when my webhog neighbor use to subscribe to cable internet, ever since she got DSL my speeds have been top notch most of the time. I just hate Adelphia's customer service. When the cable goes out it takes an hour just to get a hold of a CSR and by then your cable is up and working again.

Aldephia is absolute great where I'm at. Of course, I'm like the only one w/ cable internet in my entire neighborhood. :D No downtime really either. Only thing is that its a bit expensive at $50 a month, but considering theres no other broadband providers for me, it works out well.

Blame all the people on your subnet running Kazaa, iMesh, Donkey, etc. all simultaneously while downloading illegal copies of music, porn, and movies.

I use to work at an ISP - please don't b*tch them out, there is absolutely nothing they can do about short from running a T1 straight to your house. Just switch to something else like DSL or Satellite.

Damn that's to bad, I use Charter have a 3mb/256kbs connection and it rocks.,..my only bitch is that it is not full duplex. I am hoping our local phone provider pulls their head out of their ars and starts providing a decent DSL service of 1.5mb or faster download speed instead of 512 kbs which is not fast enough for me :)

That sucks. I've been with Cox for years and have had very little trouble with them. I'd shoot myself if I had to go back to dial-up, especially if my wife and I both wanted to get online at the same time.

Sure there is, if the node he is on is that congested they need to break it down. Run some fiber from the head end and split it up into a couple nodes. They're just too cheap to do so.
