I've noticed that a lot of Mexican restaurants don't serve chimichangas. Why is that? They have burritos, they have a deep fryer- what's the problem?

I go to this Mexican shack down my street. Great burritos for only 3 bucks.

Well that and I don't know how they'd ever manage to keep the things intact. Whenever I go there the burritos are bursting at the seams with the innards oozing out all over the place. That's not necessarily a bad thing...just not deep frying friendly.

Maybe they could do smaller portions...but what's the fun in that?

They used to have a large ownership and helped get the franchise to IPO, but they divested their ownership a few years ago.

What I like about Chipotle is that they stick with a formula of good ingrediants and fast service. They are not overly fancy with a 20 page menu. They just know how to get product into the customers hands fast , simple, and hot.

They make a fortune doing it.

The last thing chipotle needs is to fry their shit. I love me some potle, but come on... that's one thing I hope never gets there.

I agree, but the one close to me has gone down a bit the last couple years. Everything's more budget, and not as nice as it once was. I don't know if it's mine only, or all of them. I always get a bean and cheese burrito with black beans. I love those things; cheap and delicious :^)

Why the hateration on chipotle? they serve a healthy -- both size and literally -- portion of top quality food. damn tasty and fills you up. around university you get free fountain drinks with student id :)

As unmexican chipotle is, it's pretty damn good. I find myself going there over the hole in the wall mexican joints now.

I used to think that too. Then I saw the nutritional facts on one of their burritos. Its not healthy.
