No, I actually had it on macro. However, I got it for Christmas so I still don't know how to really work the thing yet. I set it up for him and he took the shots.

aphex - I try to be careful. I know the stuff is addictive. I just know if I don't take it...OMG PAIN! lol

Right now.....not wonderful, but not really really bad, either. I'm chewing gum and that helps keep my throat and mouth moist. When it dries out is when it hurts really bad.

You did read what the thread was about, right? I had my tonsils removed. I think they were cauterized so at first the spots were black and then they're supposed to turn white. They've basically been turning white now. (They're a yellowish-greenish in spots, too.) I guess the brown spots would still be from the cauterization. I don't know.

Zim - Yes, icecream does help somewhat. Tonight was the first time I was able to eat something "soft". I had some mashed potatoes. :) It still hurt a little going down, but I thought it would.

I've still only ventured to eat mashed potatoes. It hurt, so I'm still a little too scared to eat anything else.

Aquaman - I've no idea if I've lost anything. I haven't gotten onto the scale. lol Will you do me a favor and make the pain go away? :D I have the tonsilectomy pain and the sinus surgery pain. EEEEWWWWW!

Gross! Cool! Awesome!

Learn how to take pictures in macro mode and we can get some high-res gross-out in here :) I had my tonsils removed when I was 6 or 7, but ever since I've been under the impression that tonsils were further back in the throat .

Edit: When in macro mode, you usually have to set the focus manually or set it to auto-focus. Looks like you have it set to manual. In manual you just have to lower the focal length to something like 9 mm's. I really want to see some high-res shots of the scar tissue!

I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm in a ton of pain. *Sigh* The scar tissue is getting thicker. You'd really like it. LOL! When Tim gets home from work, I'll see if he'll take another round of pictures for me. I tried to take some the other day and failed miserably. The tissue has gone from just being white to being an off-white, yellowish/greenish color. (With brown spots) Yummy, huh? lol

Oh and for those of you that have had your tonsils out when you're older (meaning you can remember it well), did your ears hurt? My ears are starting to hurt now.

OUCH!

Sometimes it certainly seems that way, but I really have been blessed. Considering I had cancer at age 18 and I just turned 29, I've had tons of other medical problems, etc.... I think I'm really pretty blessed. :)

Whooooo The pain medicine is starting to kick in and I'm gettin' sleepy. lol

Good point hzl, going through all the medical issues you've had sure makes you enjoy everyday that you now have :)

As for being sleepy around noon, those sure must be some good drugs you're taking :p

WOOHOO! My throat was feeling a little better earlier, but then started hurting like hell again. I felt like throwing up, too. I tried eating a hard boiled egg...yeah, didn't work out. My mom's dog got the last half of it.

I got liquid Roxicet. I'm almost out and had to call the doc today. They can't call in a refill because it's a schedule 2 narcotic, but he's going to call in some other kind of elixir. I take Vicodin every day because of fibromyalgia and arthritis, so I'm not shy about telling them that they need to give me something strong or it won't work. This was my 9th surgery and my body is waaaay used to pain killers.

Nice to see you, btw. ;)

Zim - Our dogs like just about anything. I'm usually against giving them "people food", but when I'm just not going to eat it...I don't mind.

I think the pics of you in the bubble bath are more appealing than these.

Just my two cents :)
