Yeah, I was taking about three a day and now I'm trying to take two or less. However, since my fibromyalgia has gotten worse again, I'm climbing back up. For my surgery in January, I had liquid Percocet and that helped a lot. If they can give me something at least that strong, I'll be okay.

Deleted member 139972 - My last sinus surgery wasn't too bad. I'm dreading the tonsils more than anything.

Well, my surgery was at around 9:00 this morning. Everything went very well. I was expecting a lot more pain. I am, however, hurting like a mutha....but not as bad as I thought I would. I guess we'll see how I am a day or so from now. lol It looks like two craters were removed from the back of my throat. I had to take a dose of my Roxicet (Oxycodone) early because of the pain. Water is the best thing for me right now. It seems to be the one thing that really soothes the pain. Tim and I left the house this morning around 5:25, so we're probably going to lie down in a little while.

dmcowen - I've been wanting them out for a few years. They weren't really that big, but they were giving me problems. Grrrr. lol

Oh man....the pain has set in! OUCH!!!! All I've eaten today is ice cream. I had a Tastee-Freez on the way home from the hospital and I've been eating no-sugar-added ice cream at home. I've also been drinking water and that helps, but oh man.....I take the liquid Roxicet (Oxycodone) and it lasts for a little while, but NOT LONG ENOUGH!!!! lol

Doesn't feel better, unfortunately. And yes....it does look nasty. I make Tim look at it every day. He just rolls his eyes and says he's already seen it. lol

As for the painkiller....I am taking liquid Roxicet (Oxycodone) and it works okay, I just can't seem to take it often enough. I'm supposed to take it every four hours, but the pain is bad enough to need it way sooner. Grrrrr!

I'm already spitting up blood all the time because I also had a sinus surgery. I have to irrigate my sinuses twice a day, spray them with saline as often as I can and also use Afrin. (That stuff is nasty!)

you forgot to switch your camera to macro... i really really really want to see the detail

edit: i had my tonsilectomy like 5 years ago... wasnt too bad (i enoy needles and IVs). the scabs i had were white. i had to be rushed to the emergency room because i picked at it so much with q-tips that it swoll up so bad that it blocked my airway.

Be very very careful with that stuff.... I was taking it the whole two weeks and went cold turkey one day.... It was HORRIBLE, went through total withdrawl.... I had to get back on it and ween myself off it.....

Honestly, its been a year and even hearing the name brings back the memories and my mouth salivates for the taste...
