I'm supprised at the lack of arguing about Obama on this board

Who asked a question?

The word answer means a reply, it can be a reply to a question or a statement.

I owe you an apology, and I sincerely mean it.

Anyway, Sarah "Screechy" Palin is a nightmare in rimless spectacles. What is one of the most non-VP things you could do during a debate... I know, repeatedly wink at the audience, camera, etc, yet Screechy does it several times.
That is not presidential or vp behavior, that is homecoming queen winking at the quarterback during prom behavior.
And dear god, do you really want to compare intelligence between tickets?
Palin is dumbya with a vagina, or worse.

Senator Obama is as anti-american as anyone who came from an impoverished home, studied hard, worked hard and excelled.
Yup that's damn near commie red behavior there, OP you win the dunce cap for the day. Congrats, remember to give it back to Screechy when you're done.

McCain's top economic advisor until mid-July, and still campaign surrogate Phil Gramm was one of the authors of a bill that significantly contributed to the current mortgage meltdown. Need I say more?

Both candidates have advisors that you can tie to just about any bad thing you want.

Executive > "One of the authors" of a bill that "contributed" to the mortgage problem.

The author might have made the bill, but it was the executive that put the bill into use that caused the current crisis. Make one wonder why no one talk about this while people are complaining about Mccain's association with five which was clear over 20 years ago?

Nobody really cares about that, either. Everyone understands that this kind of thing happens, but some find it ironic that Palin and the religious fundies are generally against sex-ed and are pro abstinence--and look how well that worked out for the Palins.

People do care about her abuse-of-power scandal that's trying make its way though the courts (if only they wouldn't ignore the subpoenas--don't they issue arrest warrants if you fail to show in court?)

You really, really want to say there is NO mortgage problem with all the foreclosure and the fall of Fannie May/Freddie Mac, which are some of the biggest mortgage company in the country.

Right. So one guy was an exceptionally poor manager, and the other was an exceptionally poor regulator/legislator. They both made extremely bad decisions that directly relate to the crisis at hand. That's the whole reason I mentioned Gramm, if you're going to use advisors that made bad choices which contributed to where we are as a metric for evaluating candidates, don't you think you should recognize the fact that both candidates have these people advising them?

Jonks was quoting Phil Gramm who earlier this year said our country was a nation of 'whiners' and that the recession was fictional, that it was all in our heads. That was the guy advising McCain on economics.

Sorry guys, couldnt control myself... I stopped posting on any political topics here couple of weeks back. there are many more balanced forums out there. I have been following this thread and I had to say this....

This is a left loon forum where majority of the ppl sit with Obama kool-aid on their coasters. Dont expect to get any logical discussion here which has anything remotely unfavorable to their master.

How do you say:

And then follow it up with:

???

Do you have no sense of irony?

If I were you I'd give up.

We have clearly entered the phase of the campaign where the desperation level rises for the Contards and the poop flys from the right. They have no intention of taking any responsibility for the current economic condition of the country and will say anything (i.e., lie) in a final "Hail Mary' to make it stick on Obama and the Democrats.

Let's take a deeper look at Obama's Economic Advisors

Warren Buffett is one of the names Obama includes on that list of core advisers, along with former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, former Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Larry Summers, and former Labor Secretary Bob Reich.

Otherwise, we can always stop whining because as you know, we are simply in a mental recession and the fundamentals of the economy are strong ....

QFT

If this is what you really believe, as you have stated you do, then please follow andy into voluntary exile. I've looked at your posts and the majority seem to be 1 - 10 words accusing someone of being a lefty nutcase or just say QFT. You contribute nothing and will not be missed.

Actually the correct tense would be "is". Gramm still advises McCain in an unofficial capacity, he just had to have his name taken off the stationery after the whiner gaffe.

Obama is just a big liar and the media is engaged in a global brain washing scheme. Even though Obama has no plan as long as the media never airs any of his blunders who is going to find out about it?

Clinton promised a tax cut for the middle class and did not deliver, so Obama, probably is lying too. They are both Democrats, so they are probably both liars.
