I'm supposed to take a 5 hour drive home tomorrow morning..

Watch out for snow spiders, they tend to pop out in front of cars at night, scaring drivers and causing accidents.

WTF is a snow spider?

Do they mostly come out at nite?

They're long distant cousins of sand spiders (or camel spiders). Kind of make a hissing noise, roughly a hand's width in size, they skitter around on top of the snow in the winter looking for stuff to eat. They're quick, hence when they pop out onto the road it's kind of startling.
