I can attest to that. My *wife* is capable of producing some of the worst gas I've ever had the displeasure of smelling.

Burning rubber mixed with the smell of something rotting =

Your kids won't be. Most of the crap now will be spit out and rehashed on a couple of pathetic stations, 10-20 years from now, just as most of our classic rock deserves to stay in the annals of history. There are exceptions, like the beatles, pink floyd, etc. but most music is crap, made for a quick buck and will be forgotten just as quickly.

The thing about classical music is that it's quite timeless. Even the most popular songs of the past half century--take a beatles song--are unlikely to be enjoyed by many people 50 years from now. How many kids these days are getting into the beatles?

There is nothing wrong with listening to Pachabel. I don't see how anyone can listen to any one song over and over though. Try Fur Elise, by Beethoven.

I think there's LOTS of music written today (today == last 50 years) that will be quite influential in the history of the evolution of music. I'm not sure if it will last 300 years, but still. The classics live on in immortality; I'm sure there are artists within the last half decade that so revolutionized the art that they will be studied and remembered for centuries to come.

I like that one too. Throw in some Metallica's Whiskey In The Jar between them and I'm a happy boy.

Same here, it seems women must let loose the farts once they are married. Of course, it doesn't help that I encourage it.

Pachelbel's Canon performed by a quartet of pipers from Simon Fraser University, 1990.
