So I went out & bought Scarface tonight. Forgot all about them having a full frame version (who the hell releases a full frame collector's edition?), and of course ended up with it. I've opened the external shrink wrap but not the DVD case itself (still has the sticker on the edge).

1) Can I exchange it?
2) Can I exchange it if I open the inner case?

I want to watch it bad enough that I'm willing to tolerate full screen (a travesty, I know), but if I won't be able to exchange it tomorrow I don't want to do it.

2)have them mark it with sticker(to show you brought it in)
3)go directly to dvd section
4)pick up ws
5)take to cs counter
6)explain that current dvd skips & would just like to exchange & that you took the liberty of getting a new copy already

WS more than likely has a different SKU/UPC than the FS. That little scheme above probably won't work. You're better off bringing it in as-is, hope you get a female CS associate or a nice manager, and explain your situation.

you are correct in the different sku's, but they don't really care. He could still say it skips and that he prefers ws this time. He could get a new sealed version of fs and then go in for an exchange for ws. When it comes down to it, BB won't care.

I did the same thing when it came out, but didn't open it.... When I took it back, the guy who did the exchange said a guy had been in earlier who had done the same thing, but opened it, and they wouldn't exchange it... The guy got so pissed off they had several of the fat yellow shirt guys from the front to 'contain' him if he got out of control. They said they will only exchange it for the same title if its defective, and wrong format doesn't count.... One of the reasons I always try and go to Circuit City and pricematch BB.... they have been much better for exchanges, and better customer service...

What's odd? They've done that to me before, which is one of the reasons why I said your thing won't work. I've been told it specifically has to be the exact same UPC/SKU. And unless they mark your receipt, one could easily return the new unopened copy for a refund. If anyones a bunch of fvcktards it's CC.

lol, CC has an easier return policy but yet they are fvcktards? Thankfully I don't shop at BB much, so I thought it was odd they would open a new dvd just so you couldn't get a refund on it.

Do you work for BB, b/c my comment was aimed at BB corporate policies and the fvcktards that create them. No offense was intended for their employees, they are just following procedure, this I know.
