im stumped

hey all, i jsut got rtcw and after i run it, it performs the GL init sequence and then changes res, i hear sound for approximatly half a second then it either drops back to desktop or freezes, i can still con-alt-del out of it though..

I'm using a Gladiac Geforce 2 mx, 4.13.01.2183 drivers
I even had dx 8.1 at first, no go, so i got rid of it and got 8.0a back on and still no go..
