I'm stumped. Someone tell me where I should buy a laptop

Since this next year I've decided (wisely, I think) that my big desktop PC is a total waste of $$$ (I paid $300 for a GF2 when it came out and used it... to play Playstation games on my PC since it looked better than my 13" tv).

I wanna sell my PC and spend the extra cash from this summer on a laptop.

But I'm too stupid to find a place to buy one. I don't care for anything fancy, just something that will print my papers and get on the internet.

And I don't want a Dell. They flat out refuse to sell me a computer with no OS. And I wanted a Micron, but since they went under all you can get is a poorly priced refurb from them.

So where should I go? When it comes to laptops, I'm clueless. I just want a decent machine with no OS installed.

Shy:

Try a local computer store, they will build computers to post, so there is nothing you dont want on it.

Exactly. I own so many unused Windows licenses, it's not even funny.

Plus, who doesn't want a Linux laptop?

Me :p

Check the hot deals forum. IBM is selling thinkpads for really really cheap (models soon to be replaced).
