build it into the wall? or ceiling? or maybe the floor. Hmmm, if you built the htpc into your couch, maybe it could also serve as a seat warmer?

I recently built a media box out of a 1941 RCA Victor battery table radio. I don't have any completed pics ATM but it worked out very well. I kept it stock looking, swapped out the standard volume and tuning shafts for momentary on\off for power and reset. Used the same knobs but sanded and refinished the cabinet. The speaker grill made a great place for the fan. I used a flex ATX 250W PS, ASUS mATX (barely fit) with a HD3450\HDMI card, one notebook drive for the OS and a 1T drive for the media files. Maybe I'm strange but I like old radios.
