Where is it? I heard about Prysm back in 2010 and have been anxiously awaiting this technology to hit the consumer market since. Either Prysm is the only company that has developed it (from what I see they are) - holding rights to the tech, or it's simply impractical due to the current weight and low PPI? (And lately, PPI seems to be an over-estimated necessity for everything...)

I was really hoping this would be my next PC display and it's still not available for anything but large format displays. Ugh!

More information here if this is the first you've heard of it. In short, consider if there was a ménage à trois love child between CRT, plasma, and LCD; taking the best qualities of their parents.

If you are expecting a consumer product available in a retail store, you may have a long wait. The company is alive and well and busy selling their expensive product to industrial and commercial customers.

Why not contact them and ask?

That much I know. I was just wondering if there was any other developments in the community that people here knew regarding LPD technology, not Prysm in general.

Maybe I just might contact them and be like, "consumer market, GO!"
