If you think that is ownage you're retarded.
Yeah, I do find it to be ownage in the fact that he bought RAM which you can't even buy anymore, unless you want to pay $80 for a 256MB stick.

Technically, it's SDR SDRAM and DDR SDRAM, so just by saying SDRAM you're only telling half the truth.

Also, running on SDRAM isn't all that bad, I mean, what are you doing on it? If you're gaming, yeah, you're a little behind, but for surfing the internet and basic everyday stuff, no point in investing in DDR.

My main machine runs PC2700. My backup machine is an original Slot A Athlon 650 with PC133. Considering the cost of PC133, these days, If the board or CPU dies, I'll be able to sell good PC133 for enough to cover the cost of a new motherboard. If the RAM dies, it won't be worth buying replacements unless I find it cheap.

I finally upgraded from my 3-year-old P3-933 last month, so my desktop is now PC3200 DDR.

The others are still SDRAM though: server box (tualatin 1.3), W98SE old-games box (the P3 933), and my HTPC pile of unassembled parts (tualatin 1.0). And the dust-gathering P2-266 and P3-550 would use SDRAM.
