I am living in a brand new dorm built this year... All of the rooms are apartment style, and my roommate and I are paying $8,300 per person per academic year. The apartment description said:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Two-person apartment unit:
2 single bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living/dining area
All bedrooms are approximately 100 square feet including the closet
All bedrooms have an ethernet connection to the campus network and a private telephone line
Kitchens include full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave oven and garbage disposal
Central air-conditioning system.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Except when we moved in on Sep 1 they said the microwaves were on backorder and should be here soon. They're still not here. Now we're not losers that can't cook our own food, but we were expecting the convenience of a microwave so we don't have to really cook 3 times a day... so now we end up just skipping those meals because it's too expensive to go out and eat every day, and even the dining hall meals are ~$9 each. Do we deserve at least one meal per day in credit for every day we don't have a microwave? Just looking for some opinions before I start complaining to the Office of Housing. :|
Thanks
