I'm starting to hate medics in BF2.

Yep, we need another thread on BF2 here. So here goes.

I'm starting to learn to hate the medics in BF2. After a lengthy playing session last night, medics did more to hamper my game than the enemy did. Let's say I've been playing, and have gotten a couple of kills without dying, and I'm going along pretty good. I've ran into some armor, and taken a few potshots at enemies far away. What I'm now looking at is a lack of ammo.

I've mostly been playing as the assault class, as the grenade launcher is a very valuable tool to have. Once I run out of grenades and almost out of ammo for the gun, I basically want to die. Calling for a resupply usually comes up naught, so dying and respawning is a better option to restock on ammo. I'll get killed, and a son-of-a-bitchin' medic comes and revives me. God dammit!! Now I'm back in the fight, still without ammo. So there goes another kill onto my record. It seems a lot of times, when I do get killed again, that same fvcking medic revives me again! Bastard!

I may send a message to EA to hopefully include in a patch to opt out of being revived. 75% of the time, I do not want to be revived. I don't blame this on the medics, as they should have no idea whether to revive me or not. They just want their points, it's understandable. That's all. :)

you have to remember that if they successfully revive you, your death doesn't cost your team a ticket point. so in the end your team can win... it's a pity you don't have a support guy or a capable commander doing drops on you. medics are awesome.

Correct, your commander will be too busy repairing his own artillery with the supply crates. The enemy most likely has a special opps team camping the artillery and are using his supplies that he drops to repair them to destroy them over and over. You (the troops) get no supplies and the enemy is able to keep the artillery down.

Not only does a successful revive not cost a tick, it also doesn't get recorded as a death so it doesn't count against your K:D ratio. In other words, if you die 4 times and get revived 4 times and manage to kill 10 people during that time period, you just went 10:0 statistically.

Medics and Support are the only way foot soldiers can match the stats of vehicles.
