Not too savy on this, as this is my 1st time dealing with lawyers.
I was told to get a defense attorney in a car accident matter.
Does anyone have any thoughts on price structures or fees to expect?

I don't want to be taken for more than what should be the norm. (if that makes sence.)

EDIT: not looking for a discount lawyer... looking to see if there are normal price ranges. average. typical. if at all.

thanks again..

would you rather get taken for plaintiff's demands?

I remember my friend got into all kinds of trouble for attempting to evade and elude a police officer. After the public defender told him that he would have to do jail time, he quickly came up went looking for a better lawyer.. He went right to a lawyer he knew, a lawyer that had done a suit against his dad's farm. "That guy was was a wicked asshole" he said, and that was the reason he went with him. He didn't have to go to jail.
