It's exactly what I've been waiting for, and I said it when the first iPod came out.

Anyway, if you guys haven't already found out, it's now available for $499 and comes with a belt-clip case and remote control.

Specs: 7.2 ounces / 2.4 x 4.0 x .84 in. / firewire / includes Musicmatch Jukebox Plus

Exactly. Except most MP3 players don't come with 20GB But I don't think the added convenience over my CD-RW MP3 playing Walkman is enough for me to buy it right now...

The iPod is just awesome, hands down.

Its design, amount of storage, size, weight, ease of use, battery life, speedy firewire transfer rates make it (at least IMO) the BEST MP3 player available.

The iPod is, hands down, the best unit on the market. I've used a plethora of CD-based as well as flash-based players, and nothing else comes close. The sound quality is amazing, the firewire transfer is blistering ... I hate to admit it, but it is an Apple product I'm pleased to own.
