I've heard mixed opinions about those dent removers. Some people said they've been able to pull dents out and other people have said it either didn't work or made the dent worse. Either way, I'm not sure I'd trust something like that especially if it's being hawked on an infomercial.
In any case, I'm sorry to hear about your car and hope you can get it sorted out.
They are based on techniques real body shops/dent repair places use.
They are usually called 'Ding Repair' though

even though some infomercials claim large dents (it is possible though sometimes, but may take a gazzillion kits and hours).
my car is mostly plastic but the roof, hood and trunk are not....each had dents....the only ones I couldn't get out were a slight depression (large and it looks like it came that way from the factory) in the roof and one in my trunk was a BB sized dimple and I over pulled it (my first ding attempt). The rest (about 6-7) came out and I can't tell where they were.
Not bad for $19 at Sears.
