So I was looking at my phone and found the total call times. I have dialed out 1072 hours on this phone yet only received 9.5 hours!

That means that for every 113 hours I have spent on the phone, only 1 of those is spent by people calling me. And I am willing to bet 40 of those minutes has been spent with work.

I think I need to go out and start meeting people outside of my work.

the only people that call me are my family (rarely), my friend (rarely), or telemarketers (at home). i really only have 1 real friend and sometimes i wonder about that.

People I know who are very popular/well liked do all the contacting (cards, phone calls, etc).


Surprisingly, its a one way street. They're the ones that do the contacting and get very little reciprocity. I ask them why they do it of it's so one sided. They tell me they don't care about the tit-for-tat thing. They do it b/c they appreciate others.

The payback I guess come when you stay at their house and eat their food, which is what they do.

If I were them, I wouldn''t waste time. But that's just me.
