I currently have a motorola V710 and an Audiovox 6600 (i carry 2 cell phones but the audiovox is primarily a PDA for me that also gets internet access).

anyway, i could go in and get the Motorola RAZR V3C for $200.00 from Verizon.

sweet phone. it basically has all the features of my V710 but in a better package.

hmmm. is it worth $200.00 to me?

hehehe, you edited your post.

it's obviously about having baubles.

shoot, have you ever bought a woman a diamond? is there anything more useless than a diamond ring or diamond neckless?

do you ask her if the diamond . . .?

I missed a punctuation mark. :ninja:
At the end of the day, it's just bling, and $200 worth of bling at that. I mean, sure, my Sony phone was the ultimate bling (first 1.3MP cameraphone) when I got it, but I jumped through a few hoops and got it for free.

It interests me but only because its supposed to have great reception and my V710 has crappy reception in my house.

The RAZR V3C is nothing special.. it makes up for awesome thinness with stupid wideness..

Also, the menus on it are very slow and unresponsive. They drive me nuts.

My MPX220 > Razr V3C

It feels too limited by the lack of a memory slot. I mean it has a 1.3mp camera, mp3 player, and customizable ringtones. These things are going to take up quite a bit of memory and the internal 30mb just seems too small. I went with a e815. It has all the same features but comes with an memory slot. Gonna pick up a 128mb memory card for it soon.

I just picked up a new phone. Decided to go with the Motorola E815. I've heard all sorts of problems with the build quality of the Razrs, and it isn't worth it to me for the extra $80.

I got mine three or four months ago and I love it. Of course, I had three crappy free phones in a row before it so just about any premium phone would have been great.

Not worth it, my GF has a Razr and I have a V710... The V710 has a lot more features.. The only other difference is the shape/size of the phone. The 710 and Razr have the same Motorola interface and keypad, so there really isn't all that much difference between the 2, Except as I said, the 710 does more.

this thing is just like the ipod. an overpriced, overhyped, overmarketed piece of junk.
but if MTV, reality shows, and vanity are you're thing, go for it.

got the e815 too, for $50. i probably won't use half the features it has but i have them if i need them. my last phone cost me about $80 and that didn't even have half the features the e815 does and it didn't have a color screen.

I went to the Verizon store. looked at the Razr then remembered that Verizon is going to be sending me an E815 for free to replace my V710.

hmmm, the E815 for free or the Razr for $200.00?

i guess I'll stick with the E815.

I need a new phone, but refuse to pay hundreds of dollars for one.

Go for it, it's an xmas gift to yourself.

my livelihood depends on my cell phone. i'm on it over 1400 Prime Time minutes / month. i do most of that will driving, so for my, bluetooth is invaluable.

i will not buy or own a cell phone that doesn't at least do bluetooth.
