Whatever guys. Doom 3 had a weak, linear single player game but still sold plenty. Anyone who reads game reviews knows that a game always gets bashed if it has bad graphics or comes from a console.

btw, anyone who says they don't buy games for the graphics doesn't have enough money to upgrade their mom's cellyron 128mb sd crapola computer.

I think that a lot of people, myself included, bought Doom 3 because of how much we loved Doom 1 and Doom 2.

read my sig on my nice computer. but the sad thing is i dont have time to play games. so i get games for the graphics, look at it, get a hard on, touch myself. then PROFIT!

that game was awesome

HELLS YES!
Average graphics even back then. But gameplay that still hasnt been touched.
And steel soldiers sucked ass.
We need more good, playable games. Cheap games from small groups of programmers that still care.
Too much corporate BS from the big guys. Sad to say it, but ID sacrificed substance for flash. If they can fall, anyone can.
Kind of scary actually. 🙁

I didn't buy Doom 3. It has awesome graphics, and my computer is more than capable of them, I found it boring after a few hours of play.

I did buy HL2 though, for the graphics 😉

I don't buy games for the graphics.

I could afford those insanely priced 512MB 6800 SLI cards if I felt like it, but since I don't care I still have just a P4 3.2C and single 6800.

Right now I'm playing Neverwinter Nights (a couple of years behind the times in graphics) and Jagged Alliance 2, Urban Chaos mod (old school 2D).

In my to-be-played pile are the original Freedom Force (more dated 3D) and a bunch of Final Fantasy games I picked up with a used PSOne.
