I encrypted a ton of files using an encryption app but can't remember the name of the app. I do remember that the icon was black and red on the desktop. I believe it was a black figure with a red circle with slash through it.

The app would also skip system files if you wanted and also showed up in the context menu with encrypt and decrypt.

I believe it was freeware........there is just so many I can't figure out which one and I saw it here I believe.

PS: I do remember the password though :(

I can't wait to hear the explanation for why you encrypted a bunch of files and then forgot which program you used to do it.

No....I believe there was a thread here and someone put a link up and it was only maybe within 2 months. I tried to search but didn't see anything that looked like that app.

Did you remove or delete it?

Look in your program files and see if the folder is there. It may be just an empty folder but it may give some clues to what program you used.

The partition that program files are on aren't showing up under windows cause an app frozeup and took two partitions out. Not sure if I can recover any of those files.
