I can barely function. I slept four hours last night. I think it's time to start hiring. :(

1.Outsource some of it to an Indian
2. Pay that Indian well
3. That Indian should be me :p

Yes, I am.
I turned down a bunch of stuff already, but I don't like doing that for a few reasons.
Obviously, I'd like to make the money.
You get a reputation for turning down jobs.
I can't turn down steady clients.

I think that you need to start hiring employees.

Increase your rates for new jobs such that demand decreases to a point you can manage more easily. I wouldn't think you'd gain a bad reputation for turning down jobs, but quite the opposite, like the reason you're turning them down is because you're in high demand, which has to mean you do good work.

Not always true in this business. People are more concerned with their work being done on time by someone who is accessible to them, then by the fact that you may be in high demand.

It sounds like you may need to rethink about how important your money is to you vs how much your time is worth to you.

I agree with the hiking up your rates option... there's a supply/demand equilibrium that you're completely missing.

edit: Plus you could hire me to do some of the work for you, i'm always looking for spare cash ;)

:laugh::thumbsup:

If you have time to post here you aren't overwhelmed.

Thank you for that assessment. I can only assume that you know more about me and my work than I do myself.

Cant you just accept jobs and tell them they don't start for 2 weeks? Not every job is CRITICAL next day rush! These people must expect your not just sitting there waiting.

What do you do that keeps you so busy?

that might be helpful. do you run your own business? try raising rates or working something in for deliverables into agreements and contracts

Maybe raise your rates? I would hope thought you are making a decent penny to be able to hire someone at whatever salary + benefits + pay raises + bla bla they want per year.
