I'm so pissed. My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I love to take care of by waxing once a month, etc just gots it's paint job messed up.

I go to school from 7am to 4pm on Tues, Thrus. I park in a parking deck. Yesterday I walk out to my car and see it covered in what appears to be salt (I live in Ohio)..Weird I think, I just washed me car yesterday. So I pull out and spray some windshield wiper fluid to clear off my windshield but the stuff doesn't go away!!. I then go to the car wash and try to power wash it off. Nothing is working. I have this white stuff on windshield and my hood.

I'm thinking the stuff might be concrete. They redid the parking deck last summer..maybe some dry concrete mix didn't get cleaned up and all the snow and mush mixed it and it dripped on my car from the level above.

Anyone else have any ideas??

man, that sounds harsh. Get at it with a hand sponge (which you should do over power washing if you love your car 😛).

:Q
id be pissed too... really pissed!!
talk to the school and tell them what happened... tell 'em you want them to pay for the repairs!!

Dude.......that completely blows goats. Talk to your school about it IMMEDIATELY.

I called them this earlier this morning I basically got the "we're not responsible for anything" excuse. I tried to explain to him that my car was damaged as a result of their own negligence but didn't get anywhere.

I've been working on it most of the morning. I've been buffing it and it seems to be coming off...but slowly. I'm thinking about using a razor for the windshield. Hopefully I can get it all off. If I can't do you guys think I would have a good case in a lawsuit against the school?

Rather hard to prove. Hopefully it all comes off the paint, and if so I'd just chalk it up to annoyance and let it go. In terms of windshield with a razor blade I'd be surprised if you couldn't get damn near anything off.

How so? The parking spot that he pulled his Jeep out of should be full of the stuff at the moment. Or, another vehicle could have parked in the same spot and is being covered with the crud at the moment. I'd head for the school ASAP and get their attention on this matter. If they think you are B.S.-ing them, then they can run tests on the substance on your vehicle and the substance that is leaking from the ceiling above where your vehicle was parked.

Best of luck! 😉
