*UPDATE 1*

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pa...assini/main/index.html

.....has a couple "animations" of the entry and landing on both water and land. Whats up with all the parachutes? Once it deploys from the shell when its in the atmosphere it has a parachute.. then it drops it and another one comes out. crazy

---------------------------------------------------------

I cant wait to see pictures from Titan. Isnt that the coolest fvckin thing ever?

me too.

but i wonder if NASA will censor the pictures and only release what they think the earthlings can handle.

The probe even has microphones installed on it, so that they can record sounds from the landing and hear aliens do the icky-shuffle.

...where will the pics show up first??......will somebody post a link out here??..........:camera:

i say the aliens we see here are from there! 😛

Personally, I accept the presence of our new alien overloards. 😛

According to the magic talking box, nasa considers this to be the most important space mission in earth history.

Welp, it's dark, and there's a whole lot of nothing. Here's some sounds of the nothing...

This is the most distant landing on another body, so far. They believe the atmosphere to be much like primordial Earth. So they're hoping for glimpses and clues about Earth's past.

The probe did 4 planetary fly-bys to pickup speed. Venus-Earth-Venus-Jupiter. That *is* some crazy math!!

What I find amazing is that the solar system / universe is SO predictable that they can do things like that. They launched that sucker 8 years ago and were able to slingshot it around several planets and THEN insert it between two of saturns rings.!

ok well im not familiar with this at all, like what exactly is going on.

but how long did it take that thing to get to the planet from earth?

My post from above:
