so time has come for me to move on from my current project at work.. "rolling off" in their speak

Looking back at my life, I probably keep in touch with less than 5% of the people I've moved on from. I'm really bad at keeping in touch. I guess I didn't really try from my side?
I'm not looking forward to saying all the byes and stuff.. not like they care anyway haha.
I am not going to send a mass email to everyone, but I do think I'll just stop by a select few and say peace out nigguh

I'm the same way. I'm awful at keeping in touch with folks from which I move away. Something I'd really like to fix.

I don't use that.
I just have their screennames on AIM because we use it at work

It's free to sign up, plus you get to see all of the ridiculous job titles your co-workers have invented for themselves. Everyone is manager of something these days.

BINGO.

yeah, thought about leaving without saying anything
but I figured that was too rude

have you no social skills newb? you send out a mass email. what the hell is the problem when you get 20 emails a day? if someone doesnt give a rat's ass about you they won't open it at all. if you're cool, you will get an email back or two. i remember getting emails at my personal email a few days afterwards from people saying they didnt get a chance to say goodbye and that they would be glad to recommend me anyday.

edit: why wouldn't you use linked in? you're probably older than me, but i remember getting linked in and my former coworkers added me. i added a few more people today that i knew from school today and i really used it for the first time today by finding my current coworkers. it's free. if you can use facebook, you should be on linked in too if you're a professional.
