I'm singing yet again...

not too horrible, but when it gets to the "but i just want you to know..." chorus parts it just gets whiny The rest is decent

Jeez, I think your voice can stand to be compressed a bit more -- 7.2 MB is enormous, considering the normal size for the original MP3 is 5.4 MB for 192 Kbps.

You are surprisingly on-key; excellent. Do you do karaoke any?
Now, criticism:
0:49 -- "I found a reason for me" -- too forceful.
1:53 -- "To change who I used to be" -- too whiny.
3:40 -- in the first part your voice is almost inaudible, but then it overshadows the original soundtrack.
Lastly, you should amplify your soundtrack a bit more -- combined with the original voice, your voice is just about lost. Maybe even obtain an instrumental version.

are you kidding? No offfense, but this song was horrible to begin with. Hoobastank was somewhat "edgy" on their self-title CD, but they completely sold out to a commercial, pop rock sound on their latest effort. Listen to their Basketball Shorts CD and see how much they've digressed into the same sh1t that is played every other song on the radio.

Also (heh, a third post), what software did you use? What microphone? What sound card? I'd like to try my hand at it, in private most likely.

The song being unlike the artist's usual repertoire in no way detracts from Paulson's performance thereof. So who's kidding about what?

i haven't listened to this one yet...but i put you down the last time you posted the "i swear". I ended up putting it on my playlist...and listening to it a handful of times and you did a nice job. Just thought you should know. 🙂 Also, i'd never have the audacity to post my "singing" or whatever the noise that comes out of my mouth on the internet, as i don't sing...i yell cadences and that's about it! Kudos 🙂

you're supposed to be judging his singing, not how you feel about Hoobastank.

isn't there any way for you to reduce the volume on the [presumed] center channel so that the lead singer's voice isn't so loud ?

You have a good voice. You go a wee bit flat in a couple places, but nothing a little more drive from the gut and raising of eyebrows wouldn't fix. 😉

Try Eight-teen and then you've got it Klixxer...

If you guys can find me a karaoke version, I'd do it that way... I already reduced the volume down.

I'm using a sound blaster audigy platinum, with a shure corded mic and I use sound forge to record it in...

and the only reason I'm singing the song is because it's a somewhat difficult song to sing for me (it's somewhat of a challenge)

You're getting better all the time.

Donna and I are DJing twice tomorrow.

I use the name of what was my Band in High School and first couple of years of College until we went our seperate ways.

Too bad we didn't live close, I would start another band up with you on Lead Vocals.
