Im sick of UT-What good action game do you recommend?

I've played UT to death...don't like Q3...

I want to get a new game tomorrow...what do you peeps recommend other that Counter Strike?

maybe "deus ex". its like half-life but based on the UT engine. so style of gameplay is very similar.

i'm not sick of UT yet, and thats the only PC game i play even though i have like 10 others installed on my pc. i'm a console gamer.

Deus Ex has a great & original story. Sometimes the graphics seem dated in it, but it's far from disappointing aesthetically. It's very long, and very challenging. It's a mix of Unreal, Thief, and Duke Nukem

Red Faction is another excellent FPS game. It's fairly short, though, nonetheless very entertaining & engaging. Even though you dislike Q3, I still recommend RTCW, it's another bombass FPS title IMO.

Ohhh damn, SerraYX reminded me of Serious Sam, that is a great action game. It reminded me of Duke Nukem, and the graphics engine is stunning. Huge levels, lots of action, humor similar to the Duke Nukem games. Plus it's only like what, $10 now? I got it for $15 around Spring this year, I felt like I was robbing the store for that price!

No One Lives Forever. Bargain game for the GOTY (I want the music CD, but I'm not buying it again), excellent single player, and quite long at that. Multiplayer isn't as good, but it's entertainment. Serious Sam's a blast for awhile, especially if you like coop with a friend, also a bargain. Heck I think they go for $10 already in some places..

As for a nice spanking new game to go along with it, RTCW is decent, but I'd wait for it to come down from the amazing $55 price tag. AVP2 is fun, but is a bit short and MP is quite crappy. Tribes 2 is a blast, I'm enjoying it a lot more than RTCW.

My suggestion: NOLF, Serious Sam, Tribes 2. Should come to a total of $50. Buy RTCW later.

I'll throw in a vote for RTCW...it is a lot of fun to play in single player mode, though Deus Ex is probably the best single player FPS game I have ever played to date. I don't really care if a game doesn't have the latest and greatest graphics, as long as it has an engaging story and is fun to play. RTCW has some amazing visuals, though...the crypt levels come to mind.

Definately another vote for RTCW, the AI is actually pretty smart. And the graphics are pretty good with all the graphical goodies turned on. The game is a bit short though, as I finished the game on medium difficulty in a little under 7 hours. I'm dying to start the multiplayer as I've heard the multiplayer is amazing but finals week sucks so I guess it'll have to wait.

ghost recon all the way, I've played it at lans and it's really fun... never multiplayer over the net tho, I'm not sure how good it works.

Can't go wrong with Tribes 2. I just like it over other FPSs cause of all the roles you can play. Especially with a mod, there is so many different configs of weapons and items and things you can do its just awesome.
