im setting up a Win2k Server Terminal Sever for my college

Windows 2000 Server installed a P3 733, with 1gb RAM and 9GB HD i believe. I have it all set up so windows 95/98 can access the terminal server and run apps. But now, I need to set up some security. Have any tips? I will be installing SP2, and maybe DX8a ( just incase i install some games on it secretyly 🙂 ) What else should I do to optimize this Terminal Server?

There was a thread started here a couple of days ago by Waytoomuchcoffee that was pretty good on optimizing windows 2000 security. Check on that. I personally would focus on unneeded services (telnet comes to mind) and closing your open ports not needed by your applications. Get rid of excess apps. Get rid of excess protocols, and I would find out if IIS 5 is needed to run TS. If not and you have it installed I would get rid of that. That probably is the biggest thing. Last area I would focus on is group security. Lock down your groups and things should be ok.
