one single person that has managed to combine 1024 MB of RAM with Win Me. According to the Microsoft Knowledge Base it can be done. I can't do it, and I've yet to hear of anyone who has. The MaxPhysPage workaround in system.ini does not count , and shouldn't be necessary according MS Knowledge Base. Besides, I want WinMe to actually recognize the 1 GB of RAM. MaxPhysPage just tells the OS the RAM isn't there.

.....and yes, I have a MaxFileCache of less that 512 MB set in system.ini too

So, speak up if you've accomplished this miracle!! Otherwise I will have another reason to badmouth Micro$oft. That being, a knowledge base with erroneous knowledge. LOL!

There's your problem, you need to set your min & max to 64 megs not 512

Actually I have the MaxFileCache set for 32 MB. Does it have to be for 64MB? If so, I'm a dummy I guess. Oh, and thanks for the reply.

EDIT: The FAQ just SUGGESTS 64MB. I'm almost certain (MS Knowledge Base) anything under 512 MB will do for MaxFileCache.
