I'm screwed

So I was given a take home final for a Masters program I'm taking last week that consists of 6 essay questions. Due date is "by Thursday March, 10 midnight". I take that to be 11:59pm tomorrow, and now just realize that I'm a moron and it is due 11:59 tonight. May God have mercy on my GPA.

God, if it really is due tonight, that sucks. Now, back to my German mid-term studying that I have been putting off. 😀

Actually, technically i think 12:00 midnight is still the day before, 12:01 starts the next day.

Nevermind

AM and PM start immediately after Midnight and Noon (Midday) respectively.

This means that 00:00 AM or 00:00 PM (or 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM) have no meaning.

Every day starts precisely at midnight and AM starts immediately after that point in time e.g. 00:00:01 AM (see also leap seconds)

To avoid confusion timetables, when scheduling around midnight, prefer to use either 23:59 or 00:01 to avoid confusion as to which day is being referred to.

It is after Noon that PM starts e.g. 00:00:01 PM (12:00:01)

So technically 3/10/05 Midnight is in 1 hour EST... I would still fight the ambiguity though...

if you want to take "midnight" literally, it means the middle of the night tomorrow. argue that the culture you grew up in defined midnight as actually halfway through the night, in which case it would halfway through the night tomorrow.

Technically that would be tonight, but if the prof meant it to be tonight and was not explicitly clear about that, I would say that is decidedly lame.

I wouldn't have wasted any time posting on ATOT if I screwed up like that. I would have been getting drunk somewhere. 😛

I HATE that feeling.. when you realize that you actually are screwed cause of your procrastination... the worst is on a test you know you could have aced cause its easy but you didnt study.. 🙁

lol, you sound like you speak from experience on this topic

I understand that as tommorow night. But you suck anyway for waiting that long. I would have done it on sunday, just because the netowrk went down all the time.

Well, I'm not on campus. I work full time and decided to take this class because my company was paying for it (assuming I get a B or better).

damn, looks like you are out some money, too.

That's what you get for being a procrastinator. If you actually had something, you can send that in and argue that you weren't sure about the due date and sent 1 essayin late
