So I was going to check how much HD space I have left on my HDs, I accidently right click on "my computer", then go to properties, instead of going into "My Computer" then right clicking on the drives.

I then notice something weird.

In Windows XP

"Registered To:

Not You, no longer. (where my name is supposed to be)
Home (Company)
89325-235-235-1235125 (bunch of numbers for product ID)"

Why the heck did my name change to "Not You, No Longer."? Rather weird, I have latest WinXP updates, and a real time virus scanner, shouldn't be any exploits in my system. Anyone else seen this? I can load up a picture if anyone wants to see....

Your security has been compromised.

Unplug the computer and drop it in a lake.

Link

Told my friend about it, might have gotten it through Kazaa or something. He sent me that link. Seems to be the cause of my problem. Even though it sucks, rather be a random victim of a virus, than being a target for a real hacker.

Weird how it got in, sometimes I'd pick up a virus, but then I'd clean it immediately, and its no longer there... might have missed this one?

Kinda startling to see at first, very suprising to see my computer say it is no longer registered to me. Freaked me out.

Don't press it, I went a couple months before I could afford another one. :D

I took a screeshot but it's lost one of my hard drives...I'll wonder till the day I die how my life would have changed if I had pressed it :D
