It looks like someone is sending out spam and for some odd reason it has my e-mail address in the return field. I'm guessing I will be receiving quite a lot of angry replies from people I don't know. I've scanned my computer and there are no viruses/spyware. I'm wondering what I should do in a situation like this? Should I just forward the e-mails to abuse@isp.com?

I started getting a lot of those in my catch all email for my domain name. Pissed me off initially, but after I looked at the headers, and called some ISP's where they were originating from, I gave up. Every time I would stop them from one place, they spawned somewhere else.

There's nothing you can do. If someone sends you an angry reply, tell them it's not your PC, someone must have your email address in their contacts list and the virus is sending out emails using those entries in the From: field.

That sucks!

I recall having that happen to me in the past...I got notice of the ones that bounced back because the "to" feild no longer contained a valid e-mail address.
