I'm really worried about Pixar's Wall-E.

You're totally missing out some great movies...

Cars was the least good of the Pixar movies, the underlying attack on industrialization and urbanization was too much to handle.

My least favorite Pixar movie was Monsters Inc, but every Pixar movie has been a huge success in terms of profit & Ratatouille not only made a lot of money but was critically acclaimed.

Also I really like Cars !!!

It looks pretty good to me. I thought Cars, A Bug's Life, and Monster's Inc were second tier. It's surely better than those. I'm more bothered by the obvious rip off of Short Circuit.

I so glad that you took the time to type that out.

On topic, Cars was my least favorite and it's a crying shame that it did almost as well as 'The Incredibles' which i feel is Pixar's best work to date. I've seen that movie so many times, and i have no problem seeing it again.

Wall-E looks to be good also. Though, I have a sneaking suspicion that people are going to comparing this movie with Short Circuit. The robot almost looks exactly alike! The story lines are going to have to be different enough to separate it from that.

Finally, by any definition no Pixar film is a 'flop' Only if you compare within the company itself can one movie be defined as a 'flop'. compared to other studios NOTHING comes even close.

Cars was my favourite Pixar film. Go figure.

I didn't like The Incredibles or Monsters Inc a whole lot.

We GET IT! You don't like anything popular. No need to thread crap in every thread about popular culture.

What was wrong with Cars? I thought Nemo was the worst Pixar film.

Blasphemy. People generally consider Cars as their least hit.

Cars was their "least hit", but it's still like a 7/10 on the grand scale of movies - way better than the crap hollywood is pumping out en masse these days.

Pixar = unstoppable.

FWIW, the main inspiration for the Wall-E design came from a pair of binoculars, not from Short Circuit. The resemblance is merely a coincidence.

I loved Toy Story 1 and 2.

I never saw A Bug's Life or Cars.

I didn't like Incredibles, Finding Nemo or Monster Inc.

Rataouille is one of my favorite movies all-time.

I've loved every Pixar film so far.

The Incredibles and Finding Nemo were standouts for me, even given the studio's consistent standard of excellence.

Wall-E looks like it might be their best film yet. I am extremely excited.

Agreed! Incredibles was just awesome, Cars was decent but not their best.

I don't think that will be a problem, Pixar movies always have a great story. FWIW, according to an article I read recently the main inspiration for Wall-E came from a pair of binoculars. The main designer of the character had only seen Short Circuit once years ago, so the resemblance is more coincidence than anything.

I thought A Bug's Life was generally considered the worst Pixar movie. I think it is, anyway.

I hope that's true, but I wonder how they can look at the finished product and not realize it looks very obviously like another intelligent robot involved in a romantic comedy...

why are people hating on Cars? I thought it was a clever movie

your next purchase for your PS3, if you have not already done so.

Rat is eye-popping on BD.

Let's be realistic here. Cars got a 75% at Rottentomatoes, most people enjoyed it very much

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cars/

Pixar's like Blizzard, a "flop" for them is still something most studios would give their left testicle to have made.

Also, Toy Story 2 is the only film with over 100 reviews to be 100% positively reviewed. Crazy!

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/toy_story_2/

I was the exact right age when that movie came out. God I loved it.

Aye. It is, apparently, going to be part of the 2 for $50 deal at my local store soon, so I'm waiting for that.
