I'm really losing patience with ebay. Listed my car twice now, each time the winner did not pay.

This is bullshit. As far as I can tell ebay does not allow you to block bidders with a zero rating, just negative ratings. Any now we can't leave negative feedback so they can go and bid on other items too.

When I re-list this again I'm going to have to manually remove bids of people with zero feedback.

Yep, same thing happened to me with my iphone. Had to list it 3 times before the winning bidder actually paid for it.

Sellers can no longer leave on deadbeat buyers, but buyers can still leave negative feedback on sellers.

How else would it protect itself while swimming?

Mostly due to encouraging more people to join ebay. Sucks for sellers really.

They made some pretty terrible changes to the system that will more than likely help scammers mostly.

Meanwhile ebay still profits.

Go into your seller preferences and set it so only people with Paypal accounts can bid on your items. Chances are that new users will not have their Paypal set up properly.

I'm pretty sick of the people who don't pay as well... it's really irritating and each time it happens, I lose a lot of respect for eBay. I could use Craigslist, but I've actually heard of similar stories with people not showing up. So far, Craigslist seems to be either something that people love or hate.

Not for me pal. I do immediately go to Amazon whenever I have the thought to buy something, but eBay is ALWAYS the second place I look after that and 1/4 of the time the price of eBay is good enough to trump using Amazon.

At least for Craigslist you're not paying money to post it. It's just you and dealing with the seller in person.

Ebay is abusing it's monopoly so bad now that I really wish google would create a competitor.
