we drove the 05 passat wagon and liked it. the sales guy said they weren't making an 06 passat wagon, or maybe he meant the 06 passat wagon will not be available with TDI

No new TDI's. BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Turbo wagons should be here in December. V6 wagons most likely in February.

I saw a 2006 Passat on the road the other day. Awful, just awful. I thought the second-gen Passat was the best - such a pure, clean design. The current one is also handsome IMO, though IMO they got carried away with the chrome. The 2006, though, has totally abandoned its simple, clean shape, in favor of a fussy design with kludgy details and a huge, hideous chrome grill. VW seems to have lost its mind.
