anyone else?
my current setup:
athlon xp ~3200+: really an overclocked mobile chip, i run it near 3200+ speeds, and that came out in may 2003. over 2 years old
radeon 9800 pro: as this is a somewhat minor refresh of the 9700 pro, i'll use the 9700's release date of august 19, 2002... this video card is almost 3 years old 🙁
a7n8x: the nforce 2 is almost 3 years old as well (oct 1, 2002) 🙁
pc-2700 hyper x: also 3 years old!
heck, i think my mouse is 3 years old too!
the only things remotely new are the monitor (2005fpw ftw!) and the plethora of seagate 7200.7 drives i have (4 at last count).
and yet, it still runs most games pretty well, 3 year oldness aside. i mean, people are putting 6600GTs in their systems that benchmark pretty similarly to the 9800 pro in many cases. i can't really justify a small upgrade like just a video card or just a new processor and mobo, because it would just be bottlenecked by the other old parts. and full upgrades are $$$. just have to hope that the release of the 7800GT and R520 push down graphics card prices quick, and maybe X2 processors drop a bit.
