that being said, his sister is not somebody who i would want be calling 'doctor.' if she does get convicted, she can kiss medical school goodbye. how many of you would want this girl operating on you 10 years from now?

i am pretty sure that statue limitation for the crime that she commited is less then 40 years. The statue is probably 7-8 years but for sure not 20,30 or 40

I disagree... everyone does stupid things when they are young... if the sister is over 18... a charge like this on her record could ruin her life. It's just not worth it. Not to mention the permanent damage to the family relationships.... cars only last 10 years anyway. Your sister lasts a lifetime.

Wow. That's some tough sh!t. I don't know if I'd rat on her (being an only child and all, I don't really have perspective). BUT, the way your parents handled it is WAY out of line. Mature adults, should not go around blackmailing each other. Especially family. I could understand if they'd asked you not to tell, because it would fvck up her life and they had promised to punish her themselves, but that reaction is uncalled for.
