I'm ready to landscape

I've been trying to get my lawn ready to put down some new grass and I think I'm ready to seed in some new grass. I live in Kentucky and wonder what kind of grass is nice for a home lawn with both looks and feel. I went to Lowes and asked and they told me to put down some grass seed that is used for livestock! So what teh heck do you suggest?

You're not too much different than I am here in Memphis. You're cooler so you could get away with fescue. Zoysias, Bermuda?
