Just like in the States you get different stories, it makes some people wonder which is the more accurate one.

Personally interested in moving to Canada. Is that tough? Any special barriers to entry?

@Saint Nick: it depends on your skills and, to a great extent, where you come from. And whether you can withstand cold weather.

An enormous and varying country. Depends upon what one considers to be cold and when.

To be fair the US never invaded Canada after 1867. Previous to that we were attacking the UK :D

The EU has better social and health care system, and more residents than entire North America together.

I was on the operating table like 5 times in my life and never paid a shit, everything free.

The US is obviously a much better place to live than Canada...in fact it's the best nation on this planet! :)

I wish it was that way here....a person could easily loose their whole life savings due to a catastrophic illness or in a worse case scenario die without being to afford proper treatment.

It's a pity because in EU states, everyone who works pays mandatory monthly or weekly fee(for me it is $75 a month for health insurance). People who are not yet working (students <26), unemployed but registered at department of labor and retirees have health insurance covered fully by state. Medications, cures and aid tools are covered partially, rest the patient pays, but in most cases it's not big deal and you pay few bucks extra for your meds. The insurance and registration fees for motor vehicles are also greatly lower than in North America.

As Mr. Levant, you are a dishonest and Muslim-hating troll... Once again caught misrepresenting a link that you present:

Oh, and Incorruptible, Canada does not have "full freedom of speech," as I don't believe any country does. Thankfully Canadian society is generally mature enough to strike a civilised balance against inciting hatred and freedom of speech.

Now upon your fellow Muslim-hating and trollish fav Ezra Levant, let's examine another 'free speech' issue where he became centre of attention:

I think such a rational ruling ought to be adopted for this forum as well. :sneaky:
