A while back I had had a d-link network card go belly up on me out of the blue. I replaced the card with an identical model, added on to the amount of dhcp clients allowed on my router, and I was given my net access again. I formatted windows, reinstalled XP pro, and now the only peer to peer program will work, LIMEWIRE. Both winMX and Kazaa will initially connect, and either the never find anything when searching, or the first search works fine and then it can't find anything after that first search.
I've got DMZ enabled on the router, and just in case I also tried forwarding the appropriate ports to the new ip. ZoneAlarm receives the incoming transmissions, so it shouldn't be a case of my router blocking them. I figured this was a one time deal, and I had an old Ghost file of my windows ME setup, so I tried doing that, and the same deal happened, winMX and kazaa die or never work right.
To add to the confussion, I have another comp hooked up in my living room off the same router, and that one works perfectly with all applications.
Anyone have any clue what my problem is?
